FAQ About Filing an Appeal Before the Presiding Officer Against an Order of the Recovery Officer of Debts Recovery Tribunal
Answer: An aggrieved person may file an appeal before the Presiding Officer of Debts Recovery Tribunal against an order of the recovery officer.

Answer: An appeal before the Presiding Officer of Debts Recovery Tribunal against an order of the recovery officer, has to be filed within thirty days from the date on which a copy of the order passed by the recovery officer is issued to the appellant.

Answer: If an appeal is preferred before the Presiding Officer against an order of the recovery officer and if the appellant is a person from whom the amount of debt is due to a bank or financial institution or consortium of banks or financial institutions, such appeal shall not be entertained by the Presiding Officer unless such person has deposited with the Tribunal fifty per cent of the amount of debt due as determined by the Tribunal.
